Rob Parker Says St. Louis is the Baseball Capital of the United States

Albert Pujols was greeted with a very emotional welcome back to his former team the Cardinals.

Rob Parker: “When I watched Albert Pujols get that ovation in Saint Louis I got GOOSEBUMPS. St. Louis is the baseball capital of the United States. They love the Cardinals more than anything. There’s not many cities in the U.S. that can run TWO football teams out of town.”

Listen to Rob Parker and Chris Broussard discuss Los Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols’ emotional return back to Saint Louis as the former Cardinals fan favorite played his first game at Busch Stadium since he signed a ten-year, $240 million contract with the Angels in 2011.

Pujols won three Most Valuable Player Awards as a Cardinal and was a runner-up for the MVP another four seasons, but has seen his career plummet since he began as an Angel, going to just one All-Star Game in eight seasons and hitting .259 compared to his .328 average as a Cardinal.

Check out the audio below as Rob anoints the Cardinals fans the best fans in Major League Baseball, and thanks them for their emotional welcome back they gave the former best player in baseball.

Chris on the other hand thinks Rob needs to get out a little more and laughs at Rob admitting he got goosebumps during the standing ovation.
