On a new edition of The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon, the guys react to the Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors trade and how that compares in value to the Luka and AD trade. Jason explains why it’s ridiculous to think that the Heat got more in return than the Mavericks getting Anthony Davis back in exchange for Luka.
Jason Smith: "The one thing that I've seen that's been really popular since this trade went down is that Warriors gave up more for Jimmy Butler than the Lakers gave up for Luka & I look at this and I go how many people can really be that stupid? I mean, really, who would you rather have? Jimmy Butler or Anthony Davis? AD was an all NBA player last year. Nobody was going to trade a better player to the Mavericks than the Lakers trading AD."
Mike Harmon: "For Dallas to be dismissed so quickly, I mean yeah, there's parts and components of the process that are a little odd and kind of quirky, but the end result is you get a top notch guy if he's healthy and you have a team that can go and win."
