Why Steph Curry Should Not Want Kevin Durant Back in Golden State

Marcellus Wiley: “Marcellus Wiley would want Kevin Durant back but not Steph Curry. You know why? Because no matter what they would accomplish, it would rob Steph Curry of his legacy once again. Me and you always bicker back and forth about what happened in their three years before in terms of how it ‘robbed’ Steph Curry. Do you really want to reintroduce yourself to THAT situation again? KD was the bailout plan when they lost their championship and now when you win a championship you're going to call KD again for a stimulus plan?? We don’t need KD right now because we just won, and Steph you certainly doesn't ‘need’ KD on their team because you’re sitting on top right now. Why would you ever want to share that space in terms of legacy? Another reason Steph shouldn’t is Durant is still in the conversation – second, third, fifth – as one of the best players on this planet along with Steph Curry. Steph Curry, if you’re really into this in terms of how they’re going to remember you, you’ve been slighted and a lot of people say you should be a top 10 player, and a lot of people like me say you shouldn’t – and that’s the point. His legacy hangs in the balance in terms of his greatness. We know he’s great and he ‘should’ be higher as most would vote but it’s not. If you bring KD back, no matter what ya’ll accomplish, all it’s going to do is keep you plateaued or even regress.” (Full Segment Above)
