Ashley Biden, the daughter of former President Joe Biden, downplayed reports of her father's decline as "DAMN disrespectful and untrue" in an Instagram post shared on Monday (June 2).

"The ONLY coverup of this family is a BEACH coverup 🏖️ !!! The truth is, Dad gave his ALL to America and continues til this day," Ashley wrote in a post of herself, her father and her mother, Dr. Jill Biden, on a beach. He NEVER gave up on you. And he listened to all of you. And he acted. The man has led his life by ACTIONS not words. He aged, YES! As we all do! And the stress of the presidency accelerates. But he was always MORE than capable of doing the job. And a damn good one. He worked harder than anyone I have ever known- he took his duty and sacred obligation to this country very seriously. The noise is so DAMN disrespectful and untrue."

The post went on to address recent "noise" from "fake news" about her father, which she didn't name directly, but references claims made in Axios' Alex Thompson and CNN's Jake Tapper's new book Original Sin, which included a 'politiburo' serving as the "ultimate decision-makers" in Biden's White House and aides attempting to hide his mental decline.

“The noise is so DAMN disrespectful and untrue… AND, it’s just that – noise/static – created by those committed to perpetuating and profiting from some real BS. Get lost with your anonymous sources and fake news,” Ashley Biden added.

Ashley's comments came after her niece, Naomi Biden, had publicly bashed the book last month.

"Just read a copy of this silly book, and if anyone is curious for a review from someone who lived it first-hand: this book is political fairy smut for the permanent, professional chattering class," Naomi wrote on her X account. "The ones who rarely enter the arena, but profit from the spectacle of those that do. Put simply, it amounts to a bunch of unoriginal, uninspired lies written by irresponsible self promoting journalists out to make a quick buck. It relies on unnamed, anonymous sources pushing a self-serving false narrative that absolves them of any responsibility for our current national nightmare. All of this at the expense of a man so completely good and honest that it is impossible for these people to ever understand the why or how of it all. There are real stories to be told and one day they will be. I suspect history will reward the truth.
