DSU Students Arrested After Car Crash, Riot

(Dover, DE) -- Two Delaware State University students are in custody following a crash and a riot in Dover Sunday afternoon. Officers responded to the area of College Road, east of Jackson Street, around 4:45 p.m. where 22-year-old Chelsea Lawrence and 20-year-old Kyshief Campbell got into a car accident. When they learned that Lawrence was driving erratically, the two were arrested but not before resisting as a large disorderly crowd surrounded several arresting officers. However, no other arrests were made. Lawrence has been charged with DUI and second-degree assault among others, while Campbell faces counts of second-degree assault and disorderly conduct along other counts.
