Delaware lawmakers are introducing a proposal that would give private colleges access to capital funds. Officials are looking into creating a 20 million dollar fund for higher education initiatives. The funding was in place last year but it was less money and the bulk was restricted to three schools. With the new proposal, the money could go to institutions including Wilmington University, Wesley College and Widener University Delaware Law School. If passed, the proposal would be implemented starting next fiscal year.
