State Says Latest Farm Preservation Is Significant

(Dover, DE) -- The state of Delaware says the latest round of preserved farms is the largest in state history. Officials say the development rights of over a hundred farms totaling over nine-thousand acres have been purchased, which puts the current total of preserved acres for future generations at 134-thousand. This is the 23rd consecutive year of easement selections by the Delaware Agricultural Lands Preservation Foundation, according to the state.
