Governor Proposes Additional Education Spending

(Dover, DE) -- Governor Carney is proposing more education spending. He wants 15-million dollars to fund mental health service and reading support for students at high-needs schools. That would bring the budget for the proposed Opportunity Funding initiative to 75-million. The money has to be approved by the state's Joint Finance Committee and the General Assembly.
