Georgia Woman Shoots At Her Parents When They Refused To Turn Off Football

Tambria Chaprii Palmer, 28

A Georgia woman was arrested after she shot at her parents and chased them from their home following an argument over watching football. The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office said that Tambria Chaprii Palmer became angry after her father, Darrell Palmer, refused to turn off a football game between the University of Georgia and Kentucky.

She got up and changed the channel and her father responded by turning the television off. When Tambria attempted to turn it back on, he stopped her and she started cursing at him and tried to hit him. He attempted to subdue her and pushed her onto the couch.

Tambria then got up, ran to her room and said that “she was going to send everyone in this house to hell." She grabbed a loaded handgun and opened fire on her father, sending him running from the house. She then chased her mother out of the home, firing at her as she ran for her life.

“I think it’s a culmination of things but the last part of it was dad was going to watch the ballgame and she wanted to watch something else,” Baldwin County Sheriff’s Captain Brad King said.

When the police arrived, Tambria threw the gun into the bushes and was taken into custody.

Authorities said that Tambria's three children were in the home at the time of the shooting and were unharmed.

“It’s a tragedy for a family to go through that but we’re extremely pleased we didn’t have anybody hurt. Actually, I’m on the verge of being amazed,” King said.

Tambria was arrested and charged with six counts of aggravated assault, four counts of cruelty to children and one count of reckless conduct.
