Mexico Quake Toll Continues To Rise

Rescuers are racing against time as they search for survivors trapped beneath crumbled buildings in central Mexico in the wake of the country's deadliest earthquake in 32 years.  Tuesday's magnitude 7.1 earthquake has left at least 245 people dead and that number is expected to rise.  Over 20 children and 4 adults died when a school in Mexico City collapsed.  Search crews and volunteers were desperately trying to reach several children believed to be alive beneath the wreckage into the early morning hours today, more than 40 hours after the quake hit.  Using thermal scanners they located signs off life in several locations under the rubble.

Around 40 buildings completely collapsed in Mexico City with thousands more left damaged and unstable.  More than 50 people have been pulled alive from the rubble so far.
